What’s Up, St. Paul’s?
Connecting Our Church Family

Greetings Friends,
We hope you have had a wonderful summer. At St. Paul's, like any family, we realize how important it is to keep in touch. So, we are launching our "What's Up, St. Paul's?" newsletter, to help keep you "in the know" about the life and ministries of St. Paul's.
As we look ahead, we wanted to take a step back and review where we've been over the last couple of years. Coming out of the pandemic, the Session at St. Paul's realized we really needed to think about our mission as a church going forward. Times have changed, and the committees/teams we had in the past, may not be what we need to serve our Lord for the future.
We spent time with Rev. Chris Little, a retired Presbyterian minister, to help us pray and discern why we exist as a church. It may not be where we need to be in the future, but it's where we are today.
We believe this about helping each one of us enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus in this life. To help us focus, we created a new Mission Statement:
Our Mission
“We are a Christ-centered, worshipping community, serving and leading people to Jesus.”
Each one of us is at a different place on our faith journey. Some of us have gone to church our entire lives. Some of us had never been in a church until we walked into St. Paul’s. Some of us have struggled in our faith lives and are trying to find our way again.
To help us think about what we need to do as a church to pursue our Mission, and how we begin this work, we developed the following Vision Statements:
Our Vision Statements
| The Bible and prayer are foundational to everything we do. |
| People encounter God in worship and are empowered to live for Christ. |
| Walking daily in faith, we deepen our relationship with Jesus. |
| People joyfully and generously serve according to the gifts God has given them. |
| All generations thrive together in unity. |
| Hurting people find hope and healing in the compassion of Jesus. |
| People encounter God’s love, grace and hospitality at church and in our homes. |

Your Part in God's Work
Pastor Al cannot carry out the mission alone. God has given each of us unique spiritual gifts, talents and passions, to help build His kingdom.
“There's a place for each one of us in this work, as we seek to serve our Lord.”

Our New Ministries
We believe God is calling us to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. To do this, we have established new ministries. You may have seen the bulletin board display in the hall on the way into the sanctuary (by the office).
